Character Name: Scott McCall
Canon: Teen Wolf (TV)
Character Age: 16
Canon Pull Point: post season 2
Supernatural/Superhuman Abilities?: Scott is a werewolf, which means that he has supernatural speed, heightened strength, and extremely heightened senses. He can make claws appear on his fingers, and when angered his eyes will sometimes turn a glowing gold. Besides these things, it's been shown that he can remove the pain from those who are ill or injured, though in a chronic condition, this is only temporary. As a werewolf, he reacts to the full moon and as such, will need to look into containment measures during those times until he's learned more control. Considering the fact that Bajor has five moons, this should be interesting.
Why do you want to play this character? Scott is an extremely idealistic character and one of the great things about DS9 was the way that realism conflicted with idealism in the setting. Another factor is the fact that Scott, even before he became a werewolf, is very concerned with other people. He does things to help his mother, to help his best friend, to save people and he always puts himself on the line for them. Seeing Scott removed from both his commitments and concerns AND his support structures is something I'm very interested in exploring. Further, as Scott is a werewolf, he might have to be handled similar to a First Contact when and if his secret is revealed. I'd be curious to see how he dealt with being given time and space and patience in exploring his new role as a werewolf as opposed to the high-pressure environment in which much of his series takes place.

[The camera blips on to a deep brown blob, pulled back to show itself to be awkward teenage fingers. The hand moves away soon enough to reveal said awkward teenager. He's a boy of medium height, a relatively sturdy-looking frame, and light brown skin. Black messy hair sits atop a friendly face that nonetheless looks a little lost and more than a little worried. He stares into the camera as if to ask a question before stepping back and taking a seat on one of the chairs.]

So... I'm in space? And I'm still not sure how I managed to get here from, you know, northern California but the lady said I'm like, four days away from Earth even if you count the whole faster-than-light travel thing which kinda blows my mind.

[his lips press into a thin line]

They gave me this thing which, you know, I coulda gone my whole life without an iPad, seriously. Skip the whole space thing... but she said I should try and talk to some of the other people who are stuck here and that I could use this thing to do it. So, I think I've got it right? It's not that different from my laptop at home. And this is kinda like Skype, which

[his eyes drop and he looks rather obviously distressed, one hand running through the short dark hair, not so much trying to fix it up but gripping it for something to grip]

I usually talk to my best friend on Skype. But... he's not here. So I figured I'd take her advice and see who else is here and, uh, if anyone wants to hang out? I don't know. I don't know how this works. Mostly, I'm trying not to freak out.

[his eyes go back to the camera]

Oh, uh, my name's Scott, by the way. I'm all freaking out and I didn't even tell you my name which is... kinda lame. Anyway, I just figured I'd try this and... say hi? Try and do something so I'm not just staring around at the room they gave me like a weirdo. So, uh, feel free to answer and say hi?

Scott didn't know when this place became 'real' and home started to feel like a dream.

He couldn't pin point the exact day or the exact time because his days are so different now. He isn't in class all day, watching the clock until practice or his shift and he isn't looking at his phone to see when he can go and see--

Well, the visits to see Allison had stopped a little before that, but all the same.

Instead, he had his shifts as a junior security officer, which weren't so much 'hard work' as walking around the Promenade sniffing and looking to make sure that nothing was going on that shouldn't be going on. The thing was, though, that he liked it. The security force felt like a pack in all the most important ways and Colonel Kira, as the interim security chief on top of everything else, felt like a real 'alpha'.

He hadn't tried to explain that to her any farther than a blush and a shake of his head, but she seemed to understand since she'd started telling him about her time in the Bajoran Resistance, about how she'd moved up in the ranks in the militia, and even about her time at the station before she'd become the one running the place.

Listening to her speak, he'd become more and more interested not just with the Colonel and her story but in the station itself. Her stories made this place, as futuristic and wild as it was, real. Hearing about people fighting and dying and laughing and loving in the place made it real in a way that all reading on his PADD couldn't.

He'd gone to his first service at the Bajoran temple the other day. It'd been a little odd, considering he'd always kind of considered himself Catholic like his mom even if they didn't exactly practice, but the service had held something, something... wordless and indescribable that had made him want to come to others. The people here all seemed so... devout. There wasn't a single bored face, no one checking their phone or wondering how long until the service was over. And even he felt something there, a presence he couldn't quite explain that felt like... like the pull of the moon, except it was less of a tug and more of a gentle nudge. Like a howl on the night, or the feel of a pack.

He'd liked it. And he'd decided he would go back once he'd done a little more research on the services, because it'd been more than a little embarrassing to sit at the wrong moment and not know any of the movements.

Maybe he'd ask Colonel Kira about that. Maybe he could get her to go through the parts of the sermon that confused him and have her explain them. She seemed pretty willing to talk about the Prophets with any of the 'Envoys' who asked, whether it was just out of confusion or from some sense of the Prophets affecting them. Scott hadn't felt that, exactly, but he'd been involved in more than a few incidents on the station at this point.

And all of this, all of these thoughts, felt more than a little like giving up. The little voice inside of him told him that every time he looked at the temple or put on his uniform. But at the same time, considering that he'd gone out to the wormhole four times already and hadn't been able to go home yet, maybe it was just another way of not giving up. Maybe... it was starting again.

Anything else you think we should know? Nothing I can think of. If it isn't obvious from the name, my pronouns are she and her.
